People in the EPIC Lab

Noyan Ilk is a third-year PhD student in the MIS Department at the University of Arizona and a research associate in the EPIC lab at the University of Arizona. His research is in the areas of service-oriented architectures and software reverse engineering. His topics of interests include business process analysis, business semantics retrieval from technical system details and application source code re-factoring. Currently, Noyan is working on a project to develop a methodology for service-based transformation of enterprise information systems. The proposed methodology addresses the issue of modernizing enterprise systems using service-oriented architectures to achieve service orientation and business agility.
Noyan holds an M.S. degree in Management Information Systems from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL and a B.S. degree in Management Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in Turkey. He is a certified associate in project management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
